DeCarboxn Product Terms of Use

The DeCarboxn Product Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") stipulate the precautions and procedures that must be followed by customers who purchase and use steam trap products (hereinafter referred to as "these Products") manufactured and sold by DeCarboxn Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") (collectively, "users") to use these Products safely. If users use this Product, they must agree to the contents of these Terms before using this Product. Please note that if users use this Product, our company will assume that the users have understood and agreed to all the items in these Terms.

Article 1 (General Provisions)

1. These terms and conditions apply to the use of the Product by the User, including the installation, operation, inspection, repair, testing and maintenance of the Product, in order to ensure the safe use of the Product by the User.
2. Users must use this product in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.

Article 2 (Product Warranty)

1. We provide a warranty for this product only for products sold to users by our company or our authorized primary and secondary agents (collectively referred to as "our agents") in accordance with the warranty card attached to this product.
2. The warranty in the preceding paragraph shall not apply in the following cases:
(1) Improper installation or use of this product; (2) Improper maintenance, repair or parts replacement of this product (including parts replacement without using our genuine parts)
⑶ Modification of this product ⑷ Product purchased from a third party other than our distributor ⑸ Failure to comply with these terms and conditions 3. We cannot guarantee this product sold by anyone other than our company or our distributor. Therefore, users must check whether the product they purchased was sold by our company or our distributor.

Article 3 (Safety Requirements)

1. When installing, operating, inspecting, repairing, testing, or maintaining this product, the user must strictly observe the following safety precautions.
⑴ Caution regarding high temperatures and high pressures①This product and the steam piping, etc. to which this product is connected are used under high temperature and high pressure conditions, so there is a risk of burns from direct contact with this product or the steam piping, etc., or personal injury from the pressure of steam, etc. Therefore, be sure to take measures to prevent accidents before using this product.
② When installing, inspecting, repairing, testing, or maintaining this product, always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (heat-resistant gloves, safety glasses, protective clothing, etc.).
⑵Requirements for operators ①Installation, inspection, repair, testing, maintenance, etc. of this product should be performed only by properly trained and qualified personnel.
② If the User does not have any employees who are qualified as described above in ①, the User must entrust the installation, inspection, repair, testing, maintenance, etc. of the Product to a qualified person or a company that has such qualifications.
⑶Safety checks before work ① Before installing, inspecting, repairing, testing, or maintaining this product, release the pressure in the steam system and allow this product and the steam piping to which it is connected to cool sufficiently.
② Clearly mark the work areas for installation, inspection, repair, testing, maintenance, etc. of this product, and do not allow anyone other than those involved in the work to enter the work areas.
③When installing, inspecting, repairing, testing, or maintaining this product, be sure to check the product's specifications, and prepare and check the safety procedures, operation manuals, and emergency response procedures related to the work before starting the work.
2. In accordance with item 2 of the preceding paragraph 2, if the User entrusts the installation, inspection, repair, testing, maintenance, etc. of the Product to a qualified person or a company that has such qualifications, the User must fully inform the said contractor of the contents of these Terms and Conditions and ensure that they comply with them.

Article 4 (Basic functions of this product and nozzle selection)

1. This product is an automatic valve for draining condensed water while retaining saturated steam. Therefore, when selecting a nozzle for this product, be sure to select one that is suitable for the specifications and operating conditions of this product.
2. We and our agents are not responsible for any malfunctions such as steam leakage caused by the user's inappropriate nozzle selection.
3. If you have any problems selecting a nozzle, please contact our company or the distributor from whom you purchased this product.

Article 5 (Installation conditions for this product)

When installing this product, users must strictly observe the following:
(1) Installation location ① Install the steam trap so that the drain discharged from it can flow down naturally and not stagnate.
②If installing this product outdoors where there is a risk of freezing, take appropriate measures to keep it warm.
⑵Piping and Installation ①Be sure to install valves before and after this product to ensure safety during installation, inspection, repair, testing and maintenance.
②Make sure that the flow direction of the steam piping, etc. to which this product is connected matches the flow direction indicated on this product.
3) If the steam piping, etc. to which this product is connected uses a flange connection, use an appropriate gasket and secure with an appropriate tightening torque.
4) Install appropriate auxiliary devices to ensure that the steam piping, etc. to which this product is connected does not place stress on this product.

(3) Check before test run ① Make sure all connections are properly tightened.
② Gradually pressurize the steam system and check for leaks.
Make sure all valves are in the correct position.
④ If any abnormalities are found during the checks from ① to ➂ above, do not perform a test run until you have confirmed that there are no abnormalities.

Article 6 (Conditions for operation of this product and monitoring during operation)

When operating and monitoring this product, users must strictly observe the following:

⑴ Startup

Do not operate the steam system above its rated operating pressure.

(2) Monitoring during operation

① Regularly check that this product is working properly.

② When checking in ① above, pay particular attention to whether there are any excessive steam leaks or abnormal sounds.

③ If any abnormality is found during the checks in ① and ② above, immediately discontinue use of this product and do not continue using it until it is confirmed that there are no abnormalities .

④ Regularly record the steam system pressure and temperature so that any abnormalities can be identified.

[Tanjitsu 1] Please advise what measures to take when an abnormality is confirmed.

Article 7 (Inspection, repair, testing and maintenance of this product)

When inspecting, repairing, testing, or maintaining this product, users must strictly observe the following:
⑴Regular Inspection ① Daily Inspection: Check the appearance of the product and whether there are any steam leaks, abnormal noises, etc.
②Monthly inspection: Check the operating status of this product and the drain water discharge status.
③ Annual inspection: Disassemble and inspect the product.
⑤If any abnormality is found during the above inspections ① to ③, discontinue operation of this product and replace the product's parts with our genuine parts. Please purchase the genuine parts from our distributor where you purchased this product or from our company. In addition, when replacing parts, please carry out the work under the supervision of the facility manager.
(2) Inspection Method ① When carrying out the inspections under items ① to ③ above, we recommend that you perform a functional check using an ultrasonic diagnostic device.
② When carrying out the inspections under ① to ➂ of the previous item (⑴), be sure to check the operating condition by measuring the temperature.
③When carrying out the inspections under ① to ➂ of the previous item (⑴), check for leaks and damage through a visual inspection.
⑶Repairs and Parts Replacement ①When repairing or replacing parts of this product, use only genuine parts manufactured by our company.
② After repairing this product or replacing parts, be sure to perform an airtightness test. In addition to the airtightness test, be sure to perform any other necessary tests.
③ Please prepare and properly maintain a repair record regarding repairs and part replacements for this product.

Article 8 (Contact Information)

For inquiries regarding this product and its usage, please contact our company or the distributor from whom you purchased the product.

Article 9 (Emergency Response)

If the inquiry made by the User to our agent under the preceding article is urgent and cannot be handled by the agent, the agent will escalate the matter to our company. In this case, our technicians will handle the matter free of charge or for a fee. Please note in advance that the technicians will handle the matter.

Article 10 (Handling of Personal Information)

When our engineers respond based on the preceding article, we will use the personal information of the user's person in charge obtained from our agency only for the purpose of responding to the request.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

1. Our company shall not be held responsible for any problems that arise in the User's Products or equipment due to our agency's failure to inform the User of the contents of these terms and conditions, the User (including the User's contractor; the same applies below) not complying with these terms and conditions, or defects in the User's work.
2. Even if our agent has informed the User of the contents of this Agreement, if the User fails to comply with this Agreement or if a problem occurs with the User's Product or equipment due to improper work by the User, our agent and our company shall not be held liable in any way.
3. If the User has informed a contractor of the contents of these Terms and Conditions, and the contractor breaches these Terms and Conditions, any damage suffered by the User shall be resolved between the User and the contractor.

Article 12 (Changes to these Terms and Conditions)

1. In principle, the terms and conditions in effect at the time the User purchases this Product will apply to the User's use of this Product.
2. Our company may revise these terms and conditions to ensure the safety of users' use of the Product. In such cases, our company will notify users of the revised terms and conditions prior to the revision in a manner designated by our company, and will post the revised terms and conditions on our company's website. If users use the Product after the revision of these terms and conditions, our company will assume that the users have agreed to the revised terms and conditions, and the revised terms and conditions will apply to the users' use of the Product. If users do not agree to the revised terms and conditions, please discontinue use of the Product.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Court of Jurisdiction)

1. The interpretation and application of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
2. The Tokyo District Court shall be the court of first instance with exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions.

Article 14 (complete agreement)

These Terms and Conditions contain all agreements between the Company and the parties concerned regarding the Products and supersede all prior or contemporaneous written or oral agreements, representations and understandings.

Establishment and revision history

The first version of these terms and conditions was established on June 1, 2025.
