Through the steam leakage measurement test, we selected a point where we could expect a fairly constant amount of steam usage (amount of drainage discharged) throughout the year, and conducted a demonstration test.
Reduced steam leakage demonstrated! Confirming the effectiveness of the DeCarbo trap
Test purpose: Measurement of leaked steam volume
Test method: Using existing steam traps and DeCarbo traps at selected test locations
Result: The existing trap discharged 0.1 kg of condensate and live steam in 3 minutes (equivalent to 2 kg per hour).
DeCarbo trap: No condensate discharge for several minutes after switching (pressure 125°C steam filled)
Result confirmation: A small amount of drainage is also present downstream of the DeCarbo trap (indicating normal operation)
The existing trap completely discharges leaked steam.
Cost savings: Replacing with a DeCarbo trap is expected to save approximately 72,000 yen per year
Energy saving effect: Even greater effect can be expected when used in places with a large amount of drainage.
